It's hard to find anything good to say about Demiro's. I considered saying, 'cheap and cheerful,' but it is neither. None of the food appeared to taste of anything at all, which is a remarkable achievement. The pasta was bland, the pizza could have come straight off the Tesco Value shelf, and the Caesar salad was downright depressing. Most of the dishes cost a minimum of ten pounds, and for the sort of quality you can expect from a jar of Chicken Tonight, I call that a bit steep.Demiro's is situated in a prime location in a city which boasts a strong Italian community. Bearing this in mind, how could they get it so wrong?...
Zushi's sushi and sashimi is pretty good by Cardiff standards, but that really isn't setting the bar very high. However, the food is of a consistent standard, the place is clean, and the staff do their best. Zushi is overpriced, but given that there is so little competition in the region this is unsurprising. Zushi is worth a trip if you're desperate for a sushi fix, but if you've ever been to Japan, don't expect to have your nostalgic pangs sated.
